Hi there! I'm Melly

as in Eat, Drink, and be Melly. Clever, right? I thought so. I’m a GA peach traveling and exploring this big world. Traveling has always been an essential part of my life since childhood. My parents were intentional when it came to expanding my worldview and giving me new experiences. I appreciate them so much for this! I have visited a few different countries, many states, and even lived abroad for a semester during college.​

You’re in the right place if you enjoy affordable travel while learning new things, trying new foods, and creating new memories. I am by no means wealthy; I am your average middle-class working woman, so I enjoy affordable travel experiences. My parents were not and are not wealthy either; they live by the motto: "Work, Save, Travel, Repeat!" They gave my sister and me memories to last a lifetime. If you follow along, I can give you some cheap travel tips and share my curated travel guides with you through my thatch page.​

Many of my explorations on this budget travel blog will take place in Atlanta and its surrounding cities. There are so many places to check out! If you have any suggestions for places that I need to see, let me know!

I get out of the great state of GA a few times a year for domestic and international adventures. Those trips will be featured here and on my thatch page as well!​ I will post some #throwbackthursday blogs and social media posts of great trips I have taken and recommend. Journey with me and get to know me as I document all I eat, drink, see, and do (and offer some travel tips along the way).
